The cover feels soft, but it does collect cat hair. I keep a lint roller nearby, which is not a dealbreaker but is worth knowing if you have pets.
The standard size is manageable for one person. I can move it around the bed or take it to the sofa without much trouble.
A pile of normal pillows always shifts and flattens. This keeps its shape and gives me a consistent angle without rebuilding the setup every time.
For a normal-size room and everyday relaxing, I think this size makes sense. It gives plenty of support without feeling oversized.
I use it mainly for reclining in bed. The waist and back support fit me well enough that I can watch a full movie without constantly readjusting.
I often use it while reading face-down or semi-reclined. Having somewhere to rest my arms makes a bigger difference than I expected.
I use it for short prone lounging sessions while listening to music or using my phone. My chest feels less compressed than when I use stacked pillows.
The main support area feels good, but the outer edge is a little firmer. When I lean sideways for a long time I can feel that edge against my waist.
The curve follows my back much better than a straight wedge. I do not get that empty gap around my lower back that I get with ordinary pillows.
Mine had a noticeable memory-foam smell when it first came out of the package. Two days of airing it out solved it, but I would plan for that.
I liked that the surface was shaped for different parts of the body instead of being one flat wedge. It feels more fitted than the basic back pillows I have used.
I use it for prone lounging, back support, and sometimes leg elevation. I like not having to keep several different pillows around.
The standard size fits my single bed well and does not take over the room the way an XL would. For my space, this size is the better choice.
The chest area takes pressure off the front of my body and the arm support keeps my hands from going numb. This is the position I come back to most.
